Peggy Gehl
After graduating from the University of Florida and the University of Denver College of Law, where she was selected for Law Review, Peggy Gehl began her career at Fort Lauderdale’s prestigious law firm Fleming O’Bryan.
As the first woman associate at Flemming O’Bryan, she was introduced to insurance defense – an area of expertise which still today represents a significant portion of her mediation practice. Representing Florida’s major insurers, she has mediated complex settlements on the full array of disputes from medical malpractice to hurricane property damage.
Reflecting her esteemed reputation as an impartial jurist, Peggy was elected by 300 fellow judges throughout the State to sit on the Florida Judicial Qualification Commission, which investigates judicial misconduct. She served three terms.
